Pacific Coast Trail Runs -- San Francisco One Day, October 20-21, 2007

I shot three sets of photos: the first during the early hours of the race, the second from late afternoon & evening, and the last set on Sunday morning, during the final hour of the race. I shot almost everything handheld, with a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS lens, except for some of the Saturday night shots, where I used a 17-55mm 2.8 (with a tripod for the Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge Shots). It was windy Saturday afternoon, but by sunset the wind had died down. The water was calm enough to I was able to get some long-exposure nighttime Bridge reflection shots. On Sunday morning, 20,000 Nike Women's Marathon participants ran by the 24-hour course (see the panorama shot).
